Phase 5 Key Wakesurf Board 2021

The Phase 5 Key Wakesurf Board is a pro-level riding skimboard with lightweight performance and high response. The Key’s shape is derived from the Phase 5 Matrix and is designed to allow riders to ride a board generally smaller than what they would normally surf. With nub ends, the Key delivers a lot of release on the wave and it carries a lot of speed through the transition. The Phase 5 Key sports a thinner core and a single to double concave bottom with a V-Spline tail. It is a full epoxy board glassed using Phase 5’s Gatorskin technology. This high performance board has a single 1″ tail fin and a P5 Techno Grip Traction V2 Deluxe Skim Pad.

Phase 5 Key Construction Details:

Gatorskin Glass– GatorSkin Super Tuff Carbon/Aramid glass. Lightweight and makes a very fast and stiff board. This is the strongest material Phase 5 uses.

ProFormance XL Glass –Extremely lightweight board construction.

Epoxy Resin –Epoxy resin delivers increased strength and stiffness, especially when combined with carbon fiber.

VRT Technology– Refined vacuum-assisted hand lamination process with built-in glass/bar stringers on the bottom edge of the board for extra strength and pop.

P5 Techno Grip Traction V2– Mid density EVA horizontal groove with dimple dots. These blended features create more traction than Phase 5 has ever offered. The V2 is thinner than the V1 traction pad, allowing increased connection to board.
